Providence Christian School Purchases School Bus
The Providence Christian School is a small, but growing K-12 school in the town of Monarch, AB. The school was founded in 1994 and has grown from 84 to 125 students in the last five years. The school recently decided to purchase one new bus and continues to search for another. We hope the new bus will serve the school well and that this community will continue to grow!
Canadian Reformed Church
and School Builds Addition
The Canadian Reformed Church of Calgary and Tyndale Christian School recently completed a
2-storey, 4,200 sq. ft. addition to their multipurpose building. The upper floor serves as a principal’s office and two new classrooms. The lower floor serves as a nursery, washroom, Council room and meeting room. Christian Credit Union was pleased to provide a mortgage of $385,000.
West End Christian Reformed Church Replaces Roof
West End Christian Reformed Church is a large, vibrant church with over 700 members. The church continues to grow and adapt to meet the needs of the community. Recently, the congregation was challenged with a costly, unforeseen roof repair to the Fellowship Hall. Christian Credit Union was pleased to provide a mortgage
re-advancement of $160,000
Emmanuel Home Visits Christian Credit Union
On November 23, several residents of Emmanuel Home, a Christian seniors’ home, visited the Edmonton branch. Some of the seniors who visited have been members of Christian Credit Union for over 50 years.
After an official welcome by John Veldkamp, CEO, the seniors watched a short video about the work of the Credit Union and listened to a presentation about Estate Planning given by Jim
Hummel, CFP, Manager, Financial Planning.
Homemade soup, buns and other goodies were served for lunch by the management staff. After lunch, the seniors were given a tour of the branch.
We look forward to hosting the seniors again next year, the
Lord willing.
