Personal Banking Assistant (Maternity Leave)

Christian Credit Union is currently seeking a dynamic, service-orientated individual to join our team to cover a maternity leave in the capacity of a Personal Banking Assistant. The preferred start date is January 15, 2018 and will be through March 31, 2019 with the possibility of extension.

Under general supervision, the Personal Banking Assistant would be responsible to perform a variety of duties that support our Personal Banking Advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of documentation including loan product and security documentation.
  • Preparation of solicitors instructions and documentation packages, follow up correspondence, and review of completed solicitors packages prior to funding.
  • Preparation of FCT instructions and documentation packages, follow up correspondence, and review of completed packages prior to funding.
  • Process security searches, registration, amendments and discharges for retail lending.
  • Set up and funding of loan/mortgage products in loans origination and banking systems.
  • Physical and digital file set up and ongoing maintenance. Preparation and submission of files for compliance review.
  • Prepare retail mortgage renewal documentation, and process renewals.
  • Preparation of loan/mortgage payout requests. Process payouts and initiate security review and necessary discharges at the direction of the Personal Banking Advisors/Branch Manager.
  • Administer and review daily the Business Pay database, maintaining up to date account information for loan/mortgage payments.
  • Monitor monthly Line of Credit delinquency reports and escalate to Personal Banking Advisors/Branch Manager as appropriate.
  • Monitor monthly MasterCard reports and escalate to Personal Banking Advisors/Branch Manager as appropriate.
  • Preparation of Mortgage Solicitation letters.
  • Provide support including preparation of letters, file investigation, creation/revision of templates and checklists, and general administrative support.
  • Provide Commissioner for Oaths services for security documents as required.
  • Participate in team meetings, as well as branch and other staff functions.
  • Complete all ongoing regulatory compliance training required by the credit union.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications and Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 – 3 years of banking experience considered an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Able to escalate and seek direction for workload constraints in a timely manner.
  • Displays a positive attitude towards work, co-workers and managers. 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
