Leder School of Business Case Competition

The Leder School of Business at The Kings University hosted a business case competition on Friday, November 16. Teams created marketing campaigns for Alberta Health Services to educate young males about vaping, distracted driving, and suicide prevention. Christian Credit Union sponsored the event and Phil Geusebroek, Marketing Director participated as a judge.
School Field Trips

Students from several Christian schools recently visited the Edmonton branch to learn more about Christian Credit Union and how to use their money to God’s glory. Youth toured the vault, counted and rolled coins, created their own $100 bill, and bought items from a grocery store. Thank you to the students, teachers, and parent volunteers who attended.

Promise Keepers “All In” Conference

The Promise Keepers “All In” conference was held on Friday and Saturday, March 16-17. The event focuses on men’s leadership and featured a number of Christian speakers, live music and the opportunity to network. Christian Credit Union sponsored the event and hosted a booth at the trade show. We met a lot of new people, had some great conversations and generated a lot of interest in our Credit Union.
Resurrection Lutheran Brethren Church (Rez Church)

Resurrection Lutheran Brethren Church is located in Camrose. It was founded in 1999 and has grown to 117 members who currently worship in a school. Rez Church is focused on community outreach and has offered Vacation Bible School at their church property for many years. They are very excited to build a permanent facility and expand their outreach. The building features a multi-purpose sanctuary, educational wing, offices, and a kitchen. Christian Credit Union is pleased to provide a discounted mortgage for $1.5 million.
NADC Day of Encouragement

The DOE provides an opportunity for encouragement, inspiration, education and skill development for ministry leaders and people of the Christian Reformed Church. It exists to bring people together so we can network and join God in transforming our communities.
This year’s event was held on Saturday November 4, at The King’s University and featured Steve Timmermans who spoke about “Seeking a Shalom Lifestyle.” There were a number of presentations to choose from and several organizations who offered their goods and services during the breaks. Christian Credit Union sponsored the event and provided promotional items for all attendees.
