Personal Banking Administrator - 12 month full-time contract

We are seeking a Personal Banking Administrator to fulfill a 12 month full-time contract. Ideally, the successful candidate will work at our Edmonton location, but applicants who are interested in working in our Lethbridge or Calgary locations will also be considered. This position supports the retail banking team, performing a variety of administrative and analytical functions for retail products and services. The role is an integral member of the administration team and completion of tasks in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner is key to contributing to the delivery of member service excellence.

What are some key responsibilities?

  • Prepares account, investment and loan documents, security documents and member correspondence.
  • Prepares security searches, registration, amendments and discharges of loan security.
  • Prepares solicitor instructions and document packages, conducting initial analysis and compliance review, follow up and liaison directly with solicitors.  Performs review and audit of completed solicitor packages prior to funding.
  • Sets up and funds account and loan products in loans origination and banking.
  • Completes physical and digital file set-up and maintenance. Completes compliance checklists to ensure new product set-up meets the compliance requirements.
  • Monitors retail loan product reports including delinquencies, renewals and loan payouts, preparing notices, collection of payments, release of security and discharges as required.
  • Administers and reviews the daily Business Pay (CAFT) database, maintaining up to date account information for loans and mortgages.
  • Monitors and completes various monthly reporting ie: Expired Fire Insurance, PPSA Expiry.
  • Processes financial transactions including loan advances and general account maintenance.

What are the skills and attributes of a Personal Banking Administrator?

  • Demonstrates Christian character and Christian Credit Union core values of humble, hungry and people smart with a desire to promote biblical financial stewardship.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in professional services office, real estate office or registry office in an administrative or support role.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and demonstrates strong computer literacy.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; post secondary education in a business discipline and/or industry accreditation an asset.
  • 1-3 years of banking experience with a focus in lending considered an asset.
