We are seeking a Personal Banking professional who is passionate about providing banking advice in a faith-based organization.

The successful candidate is well versed in the full range of personal banking products and services offered through the credit union and contributes to the organization’s vision - “To be the recognized leader in applying Christian values to financial services” through the development of member relationships and the recommendation of personal banking solutions to meet member needs.

What are some key responsibilities?

  • Delivers the full range of retail products and services to members and potential members, including mortgages, consumer loans, opening Membership accounts as well as registered and non-registered investment products such as Term Deposits, TFSAs, RRSPs and RRIFs.
  • Promotes biblical financial stewardship in day-to-day interactions with Members and incorporates Biblical Stewardship Principles into advice-based conversations with members.
  • Utilizes strong relationship building skills to develop relationships and deliver customized personal banking solutions grounded in biblical financial principles to help members achieve their financial goals and find contentment with their finances.
  • Interview members to identify lending needs relating to land secured lending, retail loans, lines of credit and overdrafts and completes related loan documentation.
  • Analyzes and recommends decisions on loan applications within established lending principles and lending limits.
  • Applies strong analytical/critical thinking skills to analyze financial information, assess risk, and structure credit and other financial solutions to meet process, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

What are the skills and attributes of a Personal Banking Advisor?

  • Demonstrates Christian character and the Christian Credit Union core values of humble, hungry and people smart with a desire to promote biblical financial stewardship.
  • Knowledgeable in personal banking products, including both credit and investment solutions with minimum of 2 years banking experience.
  • Possesses strong sales abilities (active listening, opportunity spotting, asking for the business) while demonstrating capabilities in financial analysis, critical thinking, and decision‐making.
  • Communicates clearly and concisely; demonstrates strong written communication skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks effectively and efficiently while demonstrating sound judgment in prioritization of work activities to achieve results.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and demonstrates strong computer literacy.
  • Proficient in CRM system; SharePoint experience an asset
  • Post secondary education in business or equivalent financial services experience.

A competitive salary range of $50,956.00 – $71,632.00 per annum along with benefits package, deposit and loan program and education programs are all reasons to consider Christian Credit Union for your career.
